Meet CPT Maggie. In 2014, she officially completed her ACE Certified Personal Training Exam, specializing in Weight Management. She has now also gained certifications in Therapeutic Exercise, focusing on metabolic disease and disorder; pre/post natal exercise; chronic muscoskeletal exercise and cardiovascular nutrition.
Each year Maggie offers her clients some motivation for the New Year with a "Transformation Challenge." This is a program designed uniquely for young adults to young seniors, reeducating and demystifying the information that is confusing and convoluted about what's right and wrong in regards to our fitness, wellness and nutrition. A little back history..Maggie had always been an athlete, growing up participating in school sports from soccer season in the summer, to softball and volleyball in the winter. During college, she shifted her focus and started ,as what most typical college girls do, hitting it hard on cardio. Without ever seeing the results she wanted, she thought it would be easier to get the shape she wanted by eating less, she feasted off m&m candies and peanut butter. It wasn't until she came back from backpacking around Europe, that she realized she had to really switch her focus onto her nutrition to make changes; resistance training and nutrition. She was inspired by her trainer and now friend. He showed her proper functional movements and exercises that would actually help her body become stronger while obtaining the shape that she sought. She trained for her first National Physique Committee Bikini Competition in July 2014. Enjoying the process, education, physical changes and personal challenges so much, she continued to compete in three more shows, placing 3rd in her class at two of them under guidance and coaching from Team Elite Physique's Adam Bonilla.
Now she competes in a variety of sports and movement. She loves the calmness she finds with internal peace, meditation and stretches in yoga. After a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Krabi Thailand, she now mixes her strength, cardio and yoga practices with her outdoro adventuring. You can always find Maggie hiking or rock climbing on a beautiful weekend day. She is a huge advocate for finding movement that you enjoy and can consistently practice.
Her future coaching/personal training will be directed mostly towards online clients interested in focusing on nutrition; elderly clients, pre/post natal women and those who are beginning their journey into bettering themselves from the inside out. For inquiries, please reach out: [email protected]
